1. Desire Change

You can make significant, positive change in your life. But only if you really want to.

If you have a hankering to live a satisfying life filled with meaning and purpose, you must first of all really, really want it. Just shrugging your shoulders and saying, “yeah, that would be nice,” and then going back to the daily grind without doing anything about it isn’t going to achieve anything. Nor is shaking your head sadly and saying, “yes, but I could never do that.”

You must make a strong commitment to getting out of your rut, figuring out what you want, and doing whatever you need to do to achieve it. When you make that commitment, you have taken your first step on your own quest for personal development. Fasten your seat belt. It’s going to be a wild ride, and you are going to be astonished at what you can achieve when you’re determined enough, and when you put your mind to it.

You might be surprised to discover that at this stage you don’t have to know what you want, and you don’t have to have any idea how you might get it. Right now, all you need to do is commit to change.
