Leadership is a servant role. You're there to help your people to be their best and to give their best, every day.
Leadership is all about people, their values and beliefs, their strengths and weaknesses, their hopes and fears, their dreams and aspirations. Your role as a leader is to inspire them, motivate them, encourage them, support them and protect them.

Leadership is not about you promoting yourself or using your position to enhance your own personal wealth and status.

When you’re leading effectively, your people will follow you because they want to. They look up to you, they respect you and they believe in you. Of course, they have their own personal and professional aspirations, but they know that you will support them in achieving those things. They know, just as you know, that their success contributes to your success.

When you care about your people, and they know that you care, that care will be reciprocated. They will go the extra mile for you.
